One more reason besides Thomas Lax to visit Waterville

The taste of Waterville is an all day event (11am-11pm) in downtown Waterville showcasing some of the best the community has to offer in terms of food & music. Below is a link with plenty of more info.

The Taste of Greater Waterville, presented by Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce, is an annual community event created that celebrates all our region has to offer. Held on the first Wednesday in August, locals and visitors alike have come to enjoy one of Maine’s most popular outdoor festivities since its inception in 1992.

As with all traditional family gatherings, food is the core of the Taste. Enjoy food from three different venues;

• “The Bite” – Fast food served from booths throughout the day.

• “A-la-carte” – Full meals served after 5:00 while you’re on the move strolling through downtown.
• "Fine dining" -  Presold tickets to a fine-dining experience in the streets of downtown.
The day long celebration begins with children’s events including an animal petting zoo, face painting, and other fun activities. Downtown Waterville merchants host events and offer special values throughout the day. Several bands entertain guests throughout the evening with a top name band playing from 8-11 in the popular beer garden.
